چکیده

Binary Phase Shift Keying (BPSK) is a promising modulation format for downlink data transmission in inductive biomedical telemetry systems, because it achieves high data rates and power efficiencies and requires simple electronics. In this paper, the Bit Error Rate (BER) performance of a BPSK biomedical telemetry system is investigated under Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) and is found to highly depend on the system’s coupling and loading conditions. High-level simulations are presented which are indicative of the performance of a real BPSK biomedical telemetry system.

Comparative BER Performance of PSK based modulation Techniques under Multipath Fading

This project studies and identifies the PSK-based digital modulation scheme (BPSK, QPSK or GMSK) that gives the best BER performance in a multipath fading environment using computer simulation (MATLAB). Each PSK-based digital modulation are modeled and simulated under different channel conditions. Subsequently, a comparison study is carried out to obtain the BER performance for each PSK-based t...

Performance of Wideband Mobile Channel with Perfect Synchronism BPSK vs QPSK DS-CDMA

Direct-sequence code-division multiple access (DS-CDMA) is currently the subject of much research as it is a promising multiple access capability for third and fourth generations mobile communication systems. The synchronous DS-CDMA system is well known for eliminating the effects of multiple access interference (MAI) which limits the capacity and degrades the BER performance of the system. In ...

BER Performance Evaluation of GMSK for Fading Mobile Channels

Digital modulation plays a significant role in efficient wireless communication. It allows the transmission of digital data via air on high frequency carrier waves. The worst case communication channel is usually in the urban environment where there are many obstacles. Due to the obstacles and reflectors, the transmitted signal arrives at the receiver from various directions over a multiplicity...

Bayesian channel estimation in chaos based multicarrier CDMA system under slowly varying frequency selective channel

This paper presents the theoretical analysis of the multicarrier-code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) system in slowly time varying frequency selective channel. Chaotic sequences are used as spreading codes of CDMA system with BPSK modulation scheme. Performance improvement in Bayesian estimator in the presence of chaotic sequence is investigated. Under perfect synchronization assumption, bi...
